The candle ritual

A candle is pretty, but it’s still a miniature fire!

Follow this easy maintenance process to ensure your burning experience is optimal and your candle melts evenly.

 Before :

  • Trim the wick to 1/4" before each lighting. A long or bent wick can cause uneven burning. A wick chisel is ideal, as it catches combustion debris, but a simple nail clipper for a new or wick fingers for a calcined wick do the trick very well!
  • Place the candle on a stable, straight, heat-resistant surface.
  • Keep the burning surface free of any debris or wick residue.

During :

  • Leave the candle lit until the wax has melted from wall to wall (about 2-3 hours). Do not burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This can overheat the pot and cause breakage and/or premature combustion of the perfume.
  • Do not handle the candle when it is lit. The pot can get very hot!
  • Always keep an eye on your candle, keep out of reach of children and animals.

After:

  • To unmold it, leave ¼” of wax at the bottom before putting it out for the last time. You can reuse your pot several times with Coton Coral candle refills .
  • Throw the remaining wax in the compost! (Remove the base of the front wick).
