Taking care of your candle
A candle is pretty, but it’s still a miniature fire!
Follow this easy maintenance process to ensure your burning experience is optimal and your candle melts evenly.

Before :
- Trim the wick to 1/4" before each lighting. A long or curved wick can cause uneven burning. A wick trimmer is ideal, as it collects combustion debris, but a simple nail clipper for a new wick or fingers for a charred wick do the job just fine!
- Place the candle on a stable, straight, heat-resistant surface.
- Keep the burning surface free of any debris or wick residue.

During :
- Leave the candle lit until the wax has melted from wall to wall (about 2-3 hours). Do not burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This can overheat the pot and cause breakage and/or premature combustion of the perfume.
- Do not handle the candle when it is lit. The pot can get very hot!
- Always keep an eye on your candle, keep out of reach of children and animals.
After:
- To unmold it, leave ¼" of wax at the bottom before extinguishing it for the last time. You can reuse your pot several times with Coton Corail refills.
- Throw the remaining wax in the compost! (Remove the base of the front wick).
