Maintaining your candle
A candle is pretty, but it’s still a miniature fire!
Follow this easy maintenance process to ensure your burning experience is optimal and your candle melts evenly.
Before :
- Trim the wick to 1/4" before each lighting. A long or bent wick can cause uneven burning. A wick chisel is ideal, as it catches combustion debris, but a simple nail clipper for a new or wick fingers for a calcined wick do the trick very well!
- Place the candle on a stable, straight, heat-resistant surface.
- Keep the burning surface free of any debris or wick residue.
During :
- Leave the candle lit until the wax has melted from wall to wall (about 2-3 hours). Do not burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This can overheat the pot and cause breakage and/or premature combustion of the perfume.
- Do not handle the candle when it is lit. The pot can get very hot!
- Always keep an eye on your candle, keep out of reach of children and animals.
After:
- To unmold it, leave ¼” of wax at the bottom before putting it out for the last time. You can reuse your pot several times with Coton Coral candle refills .
- Throw the remaining wax in the compost! (Remove the base of the front wick).

Attention !
Concrete is a natural material that works with time, use and the environment in which it is found. If your pot shows signs of deterioration, it's time to replace it.
Do not put your pot in the dishwasher.
