Behind the brand...

Maëva D. is the founder of Coton Corail. She is from the island of Réunion, a small French tropical island lost in the Indian Ocean. Maëva grew up to the rhythm of the sea and learned at a very young age to admire and protect the nature that surrounds her.

Conservation of wildlife and flora has always been an important issue in everything it undertakes.

"Today, a great lover of candles, she quickly found herself facing a recurring problem: the accumulation of empty jars at the end of the candles' life."

Unfortunately, a very large portion of these pots quickly end up in landfills and are almost never recycled. This sad reality is what drove her to create a rechargeable container multiple times in order to prolong the enjoyment of her favorite candles.

"It quickly became important for Maëva to align her business with an environmental cause. Due to her origins, but especially because of the current situation of the oceans."

She thus decides to ally herself with the organization. Coral Gardeners whose mission is to replant coral on various reefs around the world in order to limit coral bleaching caused by warming and ocean acidification.

Thus, a percentage of the profits from each sale will be given to Coral Gardeners and will help with the aquatic reforestation of corals.
